How to choose a wireless charger
1. Magnetic or standard Qi?
- Qi2 and MagSafe-compatible chargers snap onto the back of the phone with magnets, so it's always aligned and charging at up to 15W. Alogic's Qi2 stands are our widest range.
- Standard Qi pads and stands work with any Qi-enabled phone, but you need to place the phone in the right spot.
2. Count your devices. 3-in-1 and 4-in-1 stands such as the Alogic PackAway, Matrix and PowerPod charge a phone, AirPods and Apple Watch together. The Klipxtreme 7-in-1 PowerDesk adds USB-C and USB-A ports for a whole desk.
3. Charging on the go? Magnetic power banks from Alogic attach to your phone. The Alogic Roam power banks also charge a laptop over 100W USB-C. For the car, the Alogic magnetic charger clips onto an air vent.
4. Don't forget the wall adapter. A wireless charger is only as fast as the power behind it. Check whether one is included, and use a USB-C charger of the recommended wattage.
Wireless charging FAQ
Will a magnetic charger work with my phone?
iPhone 12 and newer have built-in magnets. For other phones, or a case without magnets, add a magnetic ring like the Alogic MagSafe ring.
Can I charge through my phone case?
Yes, through most cases up to about 3 mm thick. For magnetic chargers, use a MagSafe-compatible case so the magnets hold.
Is wireless charging slower than a cable?
Usually a little. Qi2 reaches 15W, close to a basic wired charger. Fast USB-C cables are still quicker for a quick top-up.
